Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

The Taste of Sicily
Thanks to Phoenix Sister Cities, you can experience the Tastes of Sicily this Saturday at the Arizona American Italian Club in Phoenix. A wine expert from Alliance Beverage Distribution will be on hand to guide you through a tour of wines from the Italian island. Between sips of vino, try Sicilian olives and several different cheeses from the region. While enjoying the tastes of Sicily, gaze upon the sights with Riccardo Lombardo and his collection of photographs from Sicilian city and Phoenix sister city Catania. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Click here to register.

Taco (Salad) Tuesday!
No diet of ours is going to keep us from enjoying Taco Tuesday! For a healthy, meatless change of pace, try Fake Ginger's Tofu Taco Salad. If tofu isn't your thing, we're sure the spicy vinaigrette would work with all sorts of fake meats especially our favorite mock chicken product, Quorn. Or, if you need your meat, try it with a broiled chicken breast. Spicy!

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
