In one week, Phoenix downtowners will have a new place to get their sushi on: Squid Ink Sushi Bar.
The Peoria restaurant, from chef-owner Schuyler Estes, is set to open its second location in CityScape (on the southwest corner of the Hotel Palomar building at Central Avenue and Jefferson Street) on Monday, June 10.
And (bonus) this squid stays up late.

For the most part, Squid Ink's menu will be the same as the Peoria location's (think sushi as well as dishes like shishito peppers, chicken teriyaki, and spicy vegetables with udon noodles), but will also include Asian-inspired tapas as well as street food-style bites for the late-night crowd.
Squid Ink's new downtown space, done up in a décor style described as "contemporary urban chic," will include an outdoor patio, a community table in the center of the restaurant, and a walk-up window for ordering on the go. Entertainment may include local DJs and artwork, themed parties, and live acoustic music.
Squid Ink Sushi will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday; and 4 p.m. to midnight on Sunday.
