The Beverly to Open Next Week in Former Mabel's on Main Space; Here's the Menu

For years, Mabel's on Main was a go-to spot in Scottsdale for a well-crafted cocktail you could enjoy in a dramatic, high-style atmosphere. The dark wooden bar, leather banquettes, and hidden private room (or didn't you know about that already?) made it a one-of-a-kind spot in Old Town.

Now chef-partner Aaron May has sold the swanky dining and drinking spot to other familiar set of local restaurateurs, Genuine Concepts -- the group responsible for The Vig, The Little Woody, and the recently opened barcade The King. They're closing Mabel's to make room for a new concept called The Beverly.

The Beverley, "a nod to Genuine Concepts partner Tucker Woodbury's coastal Massachusetts hometown," will open on Thursday, August 28.

Mabel's on Main will remain open during the transition.

Thankfully, the new owners don't have plans to mess with the interior of the space, but they will add a patio. They're also going to transition away from the more exclusive vibe of Mabel's on Main to a more "a more approachable and lively establishment."

The new food menu will be overseen by executive chef Jorge Gomez, while bar manager and mixologist Rich Heider will handle the drinks. The cocktail list will offer both classic and modern cocktails including the Quiet American made with Aviation gin, watermelon, mint, and soda.

On the food side expect sliders, flatbreads, salads, and small bites in addition to a few larger entrées.

Happy hour will be offered from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
