This Week in Beer: Marble Brewery, Craft Cans, and More

Beer is a big deal in the Valley. From tastings and tappings to pairing dinners and more, there's a different beer event to attend pretty much every night. Every week, we curate upcoming brew-related goings-on and lay them out for you here. Your calendar will be as full of beer as your belly.

Monday, June 25 Marble Monday at Boulders on Broadway All Day New Mexico's Marble Brewery produces a lot of "rock solid beer," and on Monday, Boulders on Broadway will tap a couple of half-barrels of Marble's IPA and Red Ale. They'll also have bombers of the rare Marble Reserve, a strong ale aged in bourbon barrels.

Wednesday, June 27 Firestone Walker Beer Dinner at the Vig Uptown 7-10 p.m. The Vig Uptown pairs Firestone Walker mainstays (and maybe even a rarity or two) with its unique fare in this beer dinner. Spots are $25; call the Vig at 602-633-1187 to sign up.

Thursday, June 28 Craft Can Night at Whole Foods Chandler 4-10 p.m. Whole Foods Chandler, the only grocery store we know with a beer bar inside, offers a menu of 25 crafts beers in a can for just $2.50 each.

Friday, June 29 Sleepy Dog Monje Azul Tasting at Copper Blues 5-7 p.m. Sleepy Dog's summer seasonal, Monje Azul (the blue monk) is a Belgian-style blonde ale infused with pure blue agave nectar. Copper Blues in downtown Phoenix is known for its craft selection and will feature the brew in a special sampling.
