The buzz for each installment of Ignite Phoenix starts off with a ticket-buying frenzy, and this next round, scheduled for the night of February 11, promises to be no different. Tickets are set to go on sale tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., and the only question is, how many minutes will it take for the event to sell out?
For the uninitiated, Ignite is a whirlwind of mini-presentations, accompanied by slide shows, on an incredible range of thought-provoking topics, from whimsical to serious, and the presenters are folks from the community who apply to participate
. Yes, these people are so passionate about their subjects that they're willing to get on stage, in that huge auditorium at Scottsdale Center for the Arts, and start talking.
owner Pavle Milic
was invited to join in the lineup for this one, and no surprise, he'll be speaking on a subject near and dear to his heart: Arizona wines. Meanwhile, Maureen Basenberg
has a preso entitled, "From Alewife to Bikini Girl and Back."
Like I said, tickets are expected to sell out, so keep clicking refresh!
