Goat cheese, endive lettuce, and (dare we say it?) raisins sandwiched between two thick slices of fresh baked bread. We couldn't resist long enough to even take a photo, hence the two big bites outta the second half. Add on mixed greens and an iced green tea, and you have our lunch.
We probably should've bitten our tongues. You totally have us pegged, don't you? Well then, go ahead and take a guess... Where am I eating?
We have a $25 Coach & Willie's gift certificate with your name on it, if you're the first one to out our lunch spot by leaving a comment below. Don't forget: we need an email, twitter handle, link or some way to I.D. you in case you're our winner (duh, you will be! why else would you guess?)... otherwise, that baby's going back in the prize pool.
We tip our hats to Colivas who called us on not only our location but also our order last week: The Napa Crisp at The Compound Grill. For future reference, it goes great with the Jeremiah Weed Sweet Tea (in a mason jar). Bad news is, you didn't leave us a way to get in touch. Womp, womp.
Colivas, if you're out there, hit us up with another comment or an email with how we can reach you, and we'll try to get your $25 Coach & Willie's gift certificate (because we like you that much).
Guessers, don't make his (or her) mistake. You'll collect a lot faster if we don't have to let the blood hounds loose. Plus, Sherriff Joe's not our biggest fan...
Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
