The Grand Avenue Festival on Saturday, November 7, was a daylong convergence of art, music, performance that feature all manner of creative endeavors, including the various shops and studios along the historic thoroughfare opening to the public. Local artists debuted decorated cement planters located up and down Grand while vendors sold and exhibited their wares, local bands and musicians performed at ThirdSpace and elsewhere, fashion shows were conducted, and thousands strolled around taking in all the sights. The event was capped off by the latest edition of the Phoenix Annual Parade of the Arts, which traipsed down Grand to Seventh Avenue and back again and offered even more entertainment for those in attendance.
