It's really a shame that Janelle Monáe was forced to postpone her November performance at the Crescent Ballroom late last year due to "mandatory vocal rest." If her performance would have been anything like it was last night at the rescheduled date at the Marquee Theatre it probably would have ended up on the list of the best shows of 2013 because the R&B starlet and her band sure brought the goods.
