Obscura Sixth Anniversary at Rips, 4/11/14
Monthly retro dance night Obscura celebrated its sixth birthday in style on Saturday, April 11, at Rips by doing exactly what its done best over the years: giving local mods, hipsters, and urbanites at place to shake their moneymakers to ‘80s jams, indie hits, and Britpop songs aplenty. Adrian Flanagan, its current resident DJ, worked the mixers along with the night’s original selector, DJ Manchester, and got folks moving on the dance floor all evening with tracks from Depeche Mode, The Smiths, Dramarama, Human League, and Animotion.
