Outside President Donald Trump's Phoenix Rally
Protesters and counter-protesters gathered in downtown Phoenix on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, to express strong messages about President Donald Trump, who held a campaign rally that evening at Phoenix Convention Center. People of all colors, races, genders, and ages came out to speak their mind. For hours, the crowd remained peaceful and under control. A little after 8:30 p.m., the crowd began to get out of hand, and police utilized tear gas and flash-bang grenades to disperse them.
