Stomping Around in Style at the Punk Rock Prom

What happens when you take a hallowed high-school tradition, ditch all the taffeta and pageantry, and add in some punk attitude? You’d wind up with a scene like the one that unfolded at The Hive on Friday, April 29, when a rogue’s gallery of crusties, anarchists, riot grrrls, and skate kids gathered for the Punk Rock Prom. Organized by local label Casa Butthole Records, the event featured local bands like Rum Drinker, Sad Kid, Heatstroke, Couples Fight, and others, not to mention a pretty good pit.
