Thanks to the monsoon storms that swept through the Valley, the weather was downright tolerable, if not a trifle muggy, during the First Friday art walk on August 5. It was welcome news to the thousands who gathered along Roosevelt Row, Grand Avenue, and other spots in downtown Phoenix to check out all the artwork and colorful characters that were out and about. Highlights include the grand opening of artist Bassim Al-Shaker's new Roosevelt Row spot, Babylon Gallery, Angel Cabrales' solo exhibition "Delineation" at monOrchid, and even some swordplay taking place at Unexpected Art Gallery.
