The Paintings of Bassim Al-Shaker

Phoenix artist Bassim Al-Shaker is a long way from his Baghdad birthplace, where he first learned to paint, and earned a BFA from the College of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad. Soon, he'll hold a formal opening celebration for his new Babylon Gallery in Roosevelt Row, where he'll show diverse works of realist and abstract art that offer a glimpse into the many roads he's traveled along the way.
