Thousands of Bernie Sanders supporters flocked to Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Thursday, March 5, to hear the senator speak at his first Arizona rally of 2020. The rally was held ahead of Arizona's presidential preference elections set for March 17. The Sanders rally came only a couple of weeks after President Donald Trump held a rally in the same venue on February 19, and just two days after Sanders' loss to Biden in many states on Super Tuesday.
In his speech, Sanders called President Trump a "hoax," talked about making an executive order to legalize marijuana. He addressed gun safety legislation, urged people to bring their friends and family to the polls, and more.
