Behind the Scenes at Ballet Arizona's Topia

Topia, a ballet that that Ballet Arizona's Ib Andersen choreographed specifically to be performed at Papago Park's Desert Botanical Garden, began its 2017 run on Tuesday, May 23. The ballet is performed to Beethoven's 6th Symphony, the Pastoral. New Times had the privilege of meeting with some of the artistic and technical staff of Ballet Arizona while the company was putting the finishing touches on this year's presentation. Topia will be performed nightly, Tuesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., until June 10.
