Impeccable taste comes naturally to David Sheflin. As owner of Vintage Fashion Inc., he's built an elite clientele eager to snatch up his high-end designer finds — anything from pristine Pucci to vintage Von Furstenburg to the most desirable Gucci bag from 25 years ago. On the side, he's curated museum shows, styled fashion shoots, dealt in midcentury modern furniture, and collaborated with the retro-chic retailer Haus. Lately, Sheflin's intentionally kept a low profile, turning his Central Avenue storefront into an exclusive, by-appointment-only salon. (Contact him at vintagefashion@cox.net.) But keep an eye on this guy.

I arrived in Phoenix via TWA (1960s).

On Saturday night, you can find me at Cruising 7th for the show.

My favorite thing about summer in Phoenix is that there are fewer people in town.

If I could redo my first kiss, I’d kiss someone sober.

The one dessert I refuse to eat is anything fruity.

If I was mayor of Phoenix, I’dfire someone.

In high school, I was the kid who was known as "New Wave Dave."

In another life, I was most likely nutty.

On my nightstand, you’ll find a one-night stand?

The fictional character I’m most like is Monroe Ficus.

One thing I want to do before I die is really live it up (again).

The best thing about Phoenix isits history.
