If you can thump an opponent 75-23, as ASU Women’s Basketball did to UC Irvine back on December 6, you’ve got some skillz. But just how good are kickass senior guard Briann January and the Lady Devils as they head into Pac-10 play on Friday, January 2? Well, coach Charli Turner Thorne’s crew has been whomping up on everybody without a brand name, but coming out on the wrong end of hard-fought games against bigger programs such as Oklahoma, Florida, and Texas. This bodes ill against tonight’s opponent, the Stanford Cardinal, as coach Tara VanDerveer’s perennial powerhouse was ranked No. 3 in the country at press time.
