Danse Macabre

It's downright scary how much music Jarom Wilcken is planning to unleash at his spooky-sounding nighttime affair Danse Macabre. As his alter ego DJ Vivo Muerto, the 30-year-old owner of anti-fashion label Helter Skelter Clothing will serve up a fiendish orgy of music that includes a slew of goth, industrial, and '80s tracks. There will also be some indie rock, electronica, post-punk, and synth pop thrown into the mix at the bi-weekly club event, which is scheduled to go down on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. During its debut on Saturday, March 28, at the Ruby Room Lounge, 717 South Central Avenue, you conceivably could hear a wicked mix running the gamut from Combichrist and Siouxsie Sioux to Benny Benassi and Santigold, with some jams from Panzer AG or Radiohead sprinkled in. Strap on your dancing shoes as well as your corset. The spin session starts at 10 p.m. and there's no cover. Visit www.myspace.com/dansemacabrephx.
