Despite the Valley's car-town rep, we'd give up the gas-guzzling gridlock to go green in a heartbeat. And with temps finally receding, REI is ready to help us tackle urban biking with its “Intro to Bike Commuting” workshop. Before you go gung-ho into smashing asphalt via pure two-wheeled fury, the session will help you focus on the basics of getting started and riding smart. Rocking gear to keep you safe and ventilated and lighting to have you illuminated and street-legal, divulging city-wide bike routes, and navigating traffic are all on the agenda.
