Tattoo convention raises Hell at the Biltmore

Phoenix's notorious heat does have a few perks. Wet hair dries instantly. Oil bills are dirt-cheap. And it’s attracted Hell City 10: Let it Burn, a festival celebrating inked, stretched, and pierced flesh at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa.

"Phoenix is perfect for Hell City Tattoo Fest because of the hellish heat," says Hell City GM Tony Terrell. Plus, the weather makes it more comfortable to strip down to get inked by the likes of California's Lucy Hu and Ryan Hadley Studio. But Hell City is more than just a place to meet needle jockeys. Look for special appearances by the Suicide Girls and the AZ Derby Dames, art galleries and industry seminars, and a freak show with Reverend Tommy Gunn. There's even a Heck City play area where kiddies can acquire temporary tats.
