Common Wall Media’s holiday shindig at the Hard Rock isn’t your typical Christmas party. Instead of the standard yuletide carols, you’ll get popular local bands playing their brands of indie music. What Laura Says, Gospel Claws, Dead Wildlife and Snake! Snake! Snakes!, will celebrate what Common Wall Media founder and owner Chuckie Duff calls a great year for all the bands. Snake! Snake! Snakes! has a video and spring tour in the works, Gospel Claws just got a spin on NPR and What Laura Says recently did a session for Illinois’ influential blog Daytrotter. If you attend the show, which costs $5, you’ll also get a free download card offering a new Snake! Snake! Snakes! B-side, and Gospel Claws’ new LP will also be available for $5. Plus, there will be a free iPod Shuffle given away during each of the band’s sets.
