Pete Salaz, Sean Badger, and the other proprietors of Bar Smith should make sure that all the windows at their hipster headquarters are secure, as the artists of SubConscious will cause the downstairs lounge to shake and quake with some serious bass every Wednesday. Heck, such DJs as Deepfreq, Dehga, The Ariel, and Issa practically rattled liquor bottles off the wall and tripped a few circuit breakers with their booming array of low-end sound last week, when the long-running drum 'n' bass night returned to the downtown nightspot. The SubConscious session on Wednesday, November 16, promises to be just as fierce, so bring some earplugs (or plan on escaping to the second floor to hang out with the dudes from The Scenario). The bass gets in your face starting at 10 p.m. at 130 East Washington Street. Admission is $5. See www.facebook.com/subconsciousdnb.
