Arizona’s Congressional beefcake, Jeff Flake, isn’t just a hit with the ladies, he’s the fan-favorite of the limited-government crowd, too.
Members of the “economic freedom” group Club for Growth put Flake at the top of their list in the group’s Congressional power rankings.
The power rankings reflect the group’s members’ opinions of legislators based on how consistent a legislator’s voting record is with the group’s principles of limited government, earmark reform, and reducing income tax rates.
In other words, the rankings determine the who’s who of fiscal conservatives.
Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachman, whose bat-shit craziness has been well documented by New Times sister paper, City Pages, came in second.
Arizona Congressmen John Shadegg and Trent Franks each made the top 50, with Shadegg coming in sixth and Franks getting the 23 spot.
