The Arcadia neighborhood is known for stellar real estate and early mornings at La Grande Orange. So the nightlife is most likely to take place safely at home with a nice bottle of wine in a setting fit for a Pottery Barn catalog. But we had our suspicion that there had to be at least one neighborhood watering hole where drunk in public was celebrated — and, of course, we happened to find just the place. On Saturday, December 15, we stumbled into JT’s Bar & Grill. The place is small, dark, and tucked in a strip mall right off of Indian School. The unassuming façade is easy to miss but looks to be a neighborhood favorite. Locals were enjoying some tasty-looking grub and guzzling beer to their hearts’ content. The intimate size compelled these boozers to let loose, and by the end of the night, it turned into an impromptu dance party as the group belted out “Living on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi. We took that as our cue to leave and left them to their inevitable regrets in the morning.
