C4 Martini & Wine Bar/Cave Creek Coffee Company has long been a favorite spot for getting just barely away from it all, with its slightly-lower-than-Phoenix temps and great musical acts, both indoors and in the funky Camp. Add daily roasted coffee, kick-ass martinis, wine, and “eclectic bistro” cuisine, and it’s a wonder we ever come back.
They also show art in their Studio C4 Gallery. This month, C4’s walls have sported the abstract acrylics of Kate Nolen, which incorporate found objects from all around Arizona as well as the photos that inspire them. Although the venue’s closed for dinner on Sundays and Mondays, Nolen’s serenely swooshy paintings would go down equally well with a honkin’ breakfast burrito or BBQ mango chicken pizza (plus an unspecified volume of java, wine, and/or ’tinis).
