From Hollywood premieres to indie flicks to five Oscar contenders, the Scottsdale International Film Festival, now in its 10th season, will screen such buzz-worthy gems as Alamar, Pedro Gonzalez-Rubio’s new documentary hybrid of a boy who takes the journey of a lifetime with his Mexican father; Mesrine, the two-part French epic of one of France’s most notorious criminals; and from Johnnie To, Hong Kong’s crime cinema god, Vengeance.
Start the celluloid celebration with the opening night party and U.S. film festival premiere of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, part three of Steig Larsson’s Millennium trilogy.
