Yes, Phoenix is forever trying to be all L.A. However, until we pop into a Starbucks on a weekday afternoon and witness the entire joint brimming with laptop-wielding folks looking busy while sculpting their “screenplay,” the Los Angeles-ification of the Valley probably isn’t happening soon. But that doesn’t mean that we never, ever jones for some Hollywood-esque glam from time to time, which is why the Arizona Biltmore’s Hollywood & Wine summer series is totally dandy.
August’s “Hollywood Rising Stars” theme kicks off with an event that includes a “Create Your Own Hollywood Star Craft” workshop at 10 a.m.; a Biltmore Hollywood history scavenger hunt at 2 p.m.; a Biltmore Idol competition at 6; and fancy wine specials.
