Long before he became known as the “Sultan of Sickness,” the drum ‘n’ bass devotee known as Dylan began his career spinning records over the pirate radio airwaves in his native London. Since those quasi-legal days, this dope DJ has risen to international fame and fortune, with his mixes covering genres ranging from electro to hip-hop for such labels as Renegade Hardware, Cylon, and Droppin’ Science, before focusing on drum ‘n’ bass and founding his own Freak Recordings in 2004. Dylan will undoubtedly drop plenty of D-‘n’-B jams when he journeys across the pond to spin at Essential Wednesdays at Sky Lounge, 132 East Washington Street, on Wednesday, September 6. The needles drop at 9 p.m.
