If you want to see the best and brightest of the Valley’s turntablist scene (without having to hit up a dozen different nightclubs), beat feet down to this ginormous rave and music shindig at the Icehouse, 429 West Jackson Street, on Friday, September 22. In addition to appearances by Philly’s drum ‘n’ bass god Dieselboy (pictured), L.A. breakbeat guru Überzone, and hip-hopper MC Messinian, the event promises a veritable who’s who amongst the PHX’s spinster set. The stacked lineup features multiple stages with DJs across several genres, including Soloman, Sean Morley, Tranzit, MCB, Dr. MD, and Maji, as well as peeps from the Blunt Club, Dirt Assasinz, and other crews representing. If that’s not enough, Club Freedom co-founder Jas will be in the house, and there’ll be live music from local bands like 32 Leaves, Vayden, and 2 Dimes, not to mention hip-hop from JAWA, Ill Al The Anglo Saxon, Predicate, Goldentung, and others. The action gets going at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $18 to $25 presale, $25 at the door, and $28 after 10 p.m.
