Screenwriter, director, and comedian Kevin Smith launched his first “Smodcast” in 2007 with friend and producer Scott Mosier. “We sit around and add to the detritus of a wasteland of podcasts,” Smith explains. As far as the funky name is concerned, Mosier had this to say:

“It’s really clever. Your last name is Smith and my last name is Mosier. I took the first letters off our last names, put them together, and took the P off of podcast.”

“I would have thought there was more that went into it than that,” replied Smith, “but you know it works.”

We do. This year, Smith and Mosier are going on tour with a live version of their weekly distributed, always-different podcast, where they tee-hee topics like masturbation, getting high, Wonder Woman’s cooch, and dicks, dicks, dicks.
