It takes a certain breed to get into mountain biking. You must love the thrill of flying down bumpy trails lined with razor sharp rock edges and cacti needles. You have to enjoy tinkering with busted chains, sliced tires, and broken spokes. And, let’s not forget, you have to feel alright about walking around in bulge-hugging biker shorts.

If you’re one of these mountain biking fanatics, you’ll fit right in at the 2 Wheels 4 Hope benefit race and fun ride which will host 20 second interval time trails and fun rides up to 9 miles long. Be ready to cough up a minimum donation of $15 the day-of until registration closes at 6:45 p.m. All proceeds go to help a local cyclist who was hit by a car.

Sat., June 5, 6:45 p.m., 2010
