People love rooting for an underdog, which is crap when you think about it. The Ivan Drago’s of the world work damn hard to get where they are; their reward is that their greatness automatically casts them as villains as soon as someone less talented shows up.
Wanna root against an underdog for once? Then check out tonight’s matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets at US Airways Center. The Rockets have been snakebitten this season: star center Yao Ming has spent the year rehabbing an injured foot, and star guard Tracy McGrady is still working his way back to one-hundred percent following last year’s knee surgery. In spite of that, they have positioned themselves as a legitimate threat in the Western Conference. While the Suns have outplayed Houston so far this year, the Rockets are a scrappy team that always seems to give Phoenix fits.
Here’s hoping Goliath crushes David.
