Keep Phoenix New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
‘Tis the season for eggnog, caroling, and spending time with family. Of course, if you’re one of the zillion Americans working twelve-hour days or struggling to find a job in this crap economy, it’s more of a time to booze and suck up to people who can boost your career.
Mingle with local business owners in a mod setting during Get Your Phx-Mas. The event – which takes place at Phoenix Metro Retro – is part of a monthly series of social events created by real-estate maven and former politician Ken Clark. “I hesitate to call it a networking event,” says Clark. “It’s not about passing out business cards. It’s about celebrating people who are putting their blood, sweat, and tears into their businesses.”
The holiday installment of Clark’s meet-and-greet will feature catered food and drink, plus live music from Surfside IV, a local band that recreates the ‘60s surf sound.
