Picture this itinerary: Ibiza, Milan, Athens, Prague, and London. For underpaid desk jockeys like ourselves, it sounds like the makings of a fantasy Eurotrip that we’ll never be able to afford. But for Japanese house heavyweight Satoshi Tomiie, said destinations are clubbing Meccas and thus regular stops on his seemingly never-ending tour schedule. The Tokyo-born DJ/producer hops continents more than Anthony Bourdain, because the EDM megastar is considered one of the best in the biz. A protégé of house godfather Frankie Knuckles, Tomiie and his murky mixes and brooding beats have been featured on tracks by such chanteuses as Sarah McLachlan and Mariah Carey, as well as influential remix compilations like Global Underground and Renaissance: The Masters Series. So it’s hardly a surprise that Tomiie will make his first-ever Arizona appearance at Cream Stereo Lounge, as the promoters of the club’s Giant Wednesdays series have made a habit of hosting the world’s top turntable talents. Locals Turner & Heit open.
