And here’s the perfect excuse: the Arizona Road Racers’ South Mountain Classic 20k and 5k, which weaves through the roads and trails of South Mountain Park and Preserve. Race day registration starts at 6:30 a.m. The 20k starts at 7:30 and the 5k at 7:40; all participants need to be off the road by 10 a.m.
