Set your “way-back machine” to 1956, a simpler time when men were men and women were less “uppity.” While the gender norms of the day are downright cringe-worthy now, the fashion was utterly divine.

1956 was also the year Scottsdale’s famed Hotel Valley Ho first opened, and this weekend, the hotel is throwing the authentic 1950s-style fashion show Valley Vintage, complete with a handsome host/commentator, mid-century chic models dressed in original vintage fashions as well as neo-retro styles, classic cocktails, and retro jazz tunes by the Martini Kings.

The hotel is also offering a $195.60 room special for the weekend, with proceeds benefiting the Florence Crittenton Foundation.
