Death can be a great career move for a musician. Case in point: The absolutely deification of Michael Jackson in the two years since his untimely passing. Like James Brown and John Lennon before him, The King of Pop’s prior bad acts have been forgotten and he’s become revered and celebrated by millions worldwide.

That includes the Jacko fans who will gladly pay to see Who’s Bad? The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band when it rolls into the Valley on Wednesday, June 15. This touring homage to Jackson features seven tribute artists who carry the King of Pop’s torch by dressing head to toe in his iconic costumes, performing his songs, and demonstrating his choreographed moves.

Brush up on your “Thriller” dance steps, grab your sparkling white glove, and head for the Marquee Theatre, 730 North Mill Avenue in Tempe.

Wed., June 15, 8 p.m., 2011
