Independent Journalism in Phoenix Needs You
We need to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
For something most of us spend 40 hours a week doing, work isn’t always the most fulfilling part of our lives. From punching the clock to feed your family or putting on a suit and tie because that’s what society expects, everyone has different reasons for getting up and into the daily grind.
At TEDxTempe on Thursday, September 8, at the Tempe History Museum, Valley innovators are invited to hear zealous speakers discuss why we work.
This installment of TED, which stands for Technology Entertainment and Design, is focused on making the work experience more enjoyable. It’s part of the national series of cutting edge TED conferences, which are all themed and focused on sparking and spreading new ideas.
“Anyone who is interested in finding a new perspective, hearing creative ideas, growing personally or elevating their business would love the conversation we’ll be sparking,” says co-curator Lauren Tassiello. Plus, there will be food and live music by local band Black Carl.
