$15,000

When Bragg’s Pie Factory co-owner Beatrice Moore wanted to put together a female-centric show for her gallery, she knew just the person to curate it: longtime arts fan (and New Times contributor) Robrt Pela. Moore says that Pela has a great grasp on quality art and she was confident he could create a meaningful show with a unique theme, called “Women’s Room.”

“I personally like to look at women’s work all together, as I feel that women have a unique and particularly interesting way of looking at the world,” Moore says. “Women artists don’t always get the exposure they deserve, and I believe seeing their work together is an uplifting experience for both the artists involved and the viewers.”

The free show includes mixed-media works by 14 local artists.
