They’re here, they’re queer, and they’re celebrating. As you might expect, Phoenix’s annual Rainbow Festival is all about honoring the diversity of the local LGBT community, and not just the color spectrum.

The annual event celebrates all races, ethnicities and sexualities with a colorful, high-spirited weekend that starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 1. As fall’s answer to the springtime Phoenix Pride Festival, Rainbow fest encourages gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, and those who love them to come out for a weekend of celebration including food, libations, shopping, and entertainment.

A performance from the Phoenix Metropolitan Men’s Chorus kicks off the weekend, followed by The Big Shoe Talent Show, and an appearance from Bebe Zahara Benet, winner of RuPaul’s undeniably fabulous reality show, RuPaul’s Drag RaceK/i>.
