In honor of Native American Recognition Days, the Deer Valley Rock Art Center will host the American Indian Heritage Festival, which includes a free day at the museum full of traditional art, music, and food. Festival-goers can learn the Tohono O’odham two-step with live Waila music, try indigenous dishes with Chef Harrison Watchman, and check out (and buy) artwork from local American Indian artists.
A guided hike through the petroglyph trail and ethnobotanical gardens is also on the event’s agenda, as well as a variety of presentations and performances by museum staff and community members.
