Once December rolls around, lots of folks feel more stress than cheer, and less merriment than anxiety over dwindling bank accounts. And, it seems, no matter how much you prepare for the perfect holiday– a giant tree, extravagant decorations, and perfect gifts — there’s no guarantee that hard effort won’t blow up in your face.

Fortunately, Center Dance Ensemble paints a rosier picture of the holiday season with its annual production of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale, The Snow Queen, with Frances Smith Cohen at the helm. Saturdays, Sundays, 2 & 7 p.m. Starts: Dec. 3. Continues through Dec. 18, 2011
