If you’re on the lookout for an easy daytrip full of eye candy and cultural celebration, pack your camera and head to Carefree for the first Indian Market and Cultural Festival.
On the schedule are performances from world champion traditional hoop dancers Brian Hammill and Tony Duncan and musical performances by Native American flute players Alex and Melissa Maldonado. Artists Randy Kemp, Damian Charette, jeweler Dina Huntinghorse, and dozens of tribal member artisans will showcase and sell their latest work — art, crafts, jewelry, pottery, baskets, woven rugs, bead work, clothing, and drums.
Feb. 17-19, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., 2012
