The proprietors of Palazzo, 710 North Central Avenue, are about to rid themselves of the blood-sucking, fang-wielding, pale-face creatures of the night that have infested their club for more than five years, but won’t be needing any garlic or crucifixes to do so. Notorious goth affair Tranzylvania is getting the boot from the exotic-looking dance den and its resident DJ is planning one helluva hootenanny on Friday, September 17, to say farewell to its longtime location. Rob Poe (a.k.a. Noiz.fkr) will be joined by DJ Dark Mark and special surprise guests as they spin up plenty of industrial, synth-pop, EBM, and other gloomy tracks all night long. (Rumor has it that Poe will also announce where Tranz will be moving to during the course of the evening.) Doors open at 9:30 p.m. with a $7 cover after 10 p.m. See www.myspace.com/tranzylvania.
