$10,000

Dancing is a great way to get closer to a special someone while buffing up and having a blast. But when it comes to shimmying and shaking, most of us don’t stray too far from cheering on our favorite celebs on Dancing With The Stars or doing some grooving to Dance Central. Arizona’s Got Dance! might inspire more movement. The two-day event begins Saturday with performances from 15 local troupes, including MarioCo. and No Limitz, specializing in various styles such as ballet, burlesque, zumba, contemporary, and hip-hop. A series of workshops take place on Sunday at Terpsicore Dance Studio, 219 South Fifth Avenue, so attendees can learn a little musical theatre, krump, and ballet all in the same day.

Sat., July 28, 7 p.m., 2012
