The legends of La Llorona, hoof man, and skinwalkers long have lurked in the dark corners of desert dwellers’ dreams and run-amok imaginations. Venture into the landscape at night with an Arizonan with a knack for yarn spinning, and chances are good that you’ll end up shakin’ in your proverbial boots due to these spooky tales.
Don’t worry, scaredy-cats. Although Desert Botanical Garden’s Garden Flashlight Tours take explorers through the flora as the sun drops, the 10-stop, self-led walk is more educational adventure than Are You Afraid of the Dark? reenactment.
Thursdays, Sundays, 7-9 p.m. Starts: May 27. Continues through Sept. 1, 2012
