The preseason in the NFL is often a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing. After last year’s preseason, the St. Louis Rams looked like a team poised to take over the NFC West, the New York Giants looked mediocre, and Cam Newton looked like a bust. This is about the only consolation the Arizona Cardinals can take because, so far, the Cards look like a team with a porous offensive line and a quarterback depth chart that’s as pretty as a hillbilly bride.

We’ll learn a lot more about how good (or bad) the Cardinals really are when they open their regular season on Sunday, September 9, at University of Phoenix Stadium, 1 Cardinals Drive in Glendale. The Cardinals’ opponent — their division-rival Seattle Seahawks — will try to build off of a strong showing in the preseason.
