As they say, birds of a feather flock together. Once a year the Valley’s biggest fans of fowl and feather join up to check out some of the most tricked-out chicken cribs in metro Phoenix. The fourth annual Tour de Coops features a selection of the finest homes for urban-dwelling chickens, quail, ducks, and goats. This year’s tour on Saturday, November 10, covers a 30-mile loop and stops for visits at a dozen locations. For less than three hours of total riding time, coop tourists will get a glimpse into the world of urban livestock and gardening.
The fowl play begins with a morning bike ride starting at Duck and Decanter, 1651 East Camelback Road. The self-guided tour begins at 8 a.m. The afternoon ride starts at La Condesa, 1919 North 16th Street, at 1 p.m.
