The Orlando Magic and the Phoenix Suns have more in common than the fact that they’re both sub-par teams: They’re also both in a season of new eras. In other words, they’re hobbling through the season and eking out an occasional win, while their bygone saviors, Steve Nash and Dwight Howard, respectively, are ballin’ in La La Land. Granted, the span of a few weeks is hardly a fair sampling size to gauge an entire season, but it appears thus far that the pre-season prognosis for both teams will hold sway. If you hadn’t guessed, that means bad news for Planet Orange.
So when the Suns and Magic collide at US Airways Center, 201 East Jefferson Street, on Sunday, December 9, expect to see two teams try desperately to sew up superstar-size tears in their rosters, each with a rugged, whole-is-greater brand of B-ball. It won’t be pretty, but it oughta be close.
