The Valley’s west side has been on the up-and-up in recent years. People are finding reasonably priced homes and, along with them, a steady influx of corporate and privately owned businesses. Since the cost of location and operation is lower than downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale, it makes sense that independent restaurants would settle there — enough to hold the area’s first culinary food festival.
Flavors of the West is a gathering of local chefs sharing their finest creations for foodies to indulge. Just a few of the participating establishments are Amuse Bouche, blending French and American cuisine, Betty’s Nosh, crowned queen of the gourmet mushroom bar, and Soul to Soul Cafe, featuring traditional southern dishes with a twist. Live music by The Wiley One and Champagne Tap will supply the mood to sample food. Celebrity emcee Tram Mai shows her support by hosting the family-friendly gathering.
